The purpose of a post workout meal is to replenish the energy store that you might have used up with carbs and to aid with muscle recover after you have broken down your muscles with resistance training. So, if you are just casually exercising with no effort, you really don’t need to fuel yourself right away, unless you haven’t eaten and are hungry.
